|51st Annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival
The executive committee of the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival has announced its dates for this year’s festival – April 14, 15 & April 21, 22 and is free to the public. The Grand Parade will be on April 22 starting from SF Civic Center and ending in Japantown.
The first Cherry Blossom Festival took place in April of 1968 and now enters its 50th year. The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is said to be the second largest festival outside of Washington, D.C. to celebrate the blooming of cherry blossoms; and held at the biggest of three remaining Japantowns in the United States.
