Day of Remembrance is an annual celebration commemorating the incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II. We reflect on the lessons of this civil rights violation, especially relevant in our continuing climate of racial profiling and anti-Muslim bigotry. The program features guest speakers and performances, followed by a candlelight processions and a reception at the JCCCNC. Day of Remembrance is traditionally held on or around February 19th, when Executive Order 9066 was signed.
