|Learn by Eating – Summer Kaiseki Workshop at The Center

Our Summer Kaiseki Workshop features five light and elegant dishes and will be primarily taught through demonstration with participants providing the final, artistic touches to complete these fine Kaiseki dishes. Easy to follow recipes will be provided.
What is Kaiseki?
Kaiseki (懐石) is a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner. It focuses a type of art form that balances the taste, texture, appearance, and colors of food.
Summer Tasting Menu:
- Magurotataki – seared raw tuna
- Unagitamagoyose – egg custard with grilled eel
- Yakinasu & Shishito – grilled eggplant and shishito peppers
- Edamame & Corn Rice
- Ichiban dashi – soup stock made with konbu kelp and katsuobushi shaved dried bonito
